Where the content comes from

Pages here are built from two sources: direct play, and material compiled from community guides. Anything compiled rather than played is labelled on the page itself, so you can tell which is which.

Where sources disagree or a figure cannot be confirmed — an item price, a drop rate, a boss reward — the field is left empty rather than filled with a guess. Placeholder sections are marked as placeholders. We would rather show you a gap than a number that might be wrong.

Why another How to Fish wiki

There are more than a dozen fan wikis for this game already. Search for almost any boss or fix and you will find several near-identical pages — same figures, same layout, same patch numbers, sometimes the same sentences. We are not going to pretend this site is the exception just by existing.

The one thing we do differently is what happens when a fact cannot be confirmed. Most guides fill the gap with a number that sounds plausible. We leave it blank, say what we checked, and date-stamp every page against the patch it was last verified on — seethe FAQ for what that looks like when sources disagree.

Whether that earns anything from a search engine is honestly not something we know yet — this domain is new, with no history and no backlinks to speak of. What it should mean for you as a reader: a number on this site is either something we checked ourselves or something two independent sources agreed on. If it is missing, we do not know it, and we would rather say so than guess.
